What is an App Studio Issue License Pack?
An App Studio Issue License Pack contains one or more issue licenses to enable you to publish your issue file(s) to your iPad app. An issue file is a high-end interactive content file that you create in QuarkXPress 9.1 or later and export as an AVE file to be read by your App Studio app.

You can design and test your issues for free. However, once you are ready to publish your issue, you are required to purchase an App Studio issue license pack. These are available to purchase in various quantities with a reducing cost per issue, the more that you purchase.

Important Things to Know About Issue License Packs

1. Once you have purchased an issue license pack, you will receive a serial number, which must be redeemed on the App Studio Publishing Portal .

2. You have three months from the order confirmation date to redeem your App Studio issue license pack on the App Studio Publishing Portal. After three months, the validation period of purchased licenses starts automatically. Issue license packs are valid for 12 months, starting from the publication of the first issue license in that pack. The remaining issue licenses in the pack must also then be used within 12 months of the first issue being published (applied to issue license packs of 2 or more issues). Once published, the issues can be used indefinitely within an app or apps.

What is App Studio?
App Studio is an integrated set of tools that lets you create customized apps for the iPad (Coming Soon: Android), distribute those apps through the Apple® App Store, and then create and publish content (issues) that your customers can purchase or access for free from within the apps.
